Records management in Burgergemeinde institutions
The archives of the Burgermeinde of Berne, its institutions and their guilds and societies are recorded using registry plans. These form the basis for administration and archiving. The long-term archiving of analogue and digital data is a major challenge. The Burgerkanzlei and the Burgerbibliothek of Berne are working together with the aim of being able to receive digital material directly by 2021/22.
