The Burgerbibliothek of Berne provides access to archives, graphics, photographs, paintings and manuscripts in its Online Archive Catalogue. Newly listed holdings are added to the catalogue at least twice a year. If you visit us, we will be pleased to help you search for sources and documents, if required. Some of the finding aids are also available in hard copy in the Reading Room. The printed books held by the Burgerbibliothek of Berne can be searched using the Swiss Libraries Catalogue swisscovery.

A part of the correspondence is searchable in the card index of letters of the Burgerbibliothek Bern. The substantial card index of letters is not accessible online, but can be consulted in our Reading Room. The staff in the Reading Room will be happy to help if you have any questions.
